In Wall Tilings

Cracking in wall tiling caused by rupture of the underlying substrate
Visualisation of the malfunction

With the exception of delayed crazing in one or more glazed tiles, and the cracks that develop in a few consecutive tiles, the remainder correspond to ruptures that affect the entire surface of a wall tiling, between the abutting construction elements or the changes of plane. The crack propagates in a more or less broken line (sometimes like a ladder, at times following the tile-to-tile joints without causing tile fracture) with a beginning and end in the wall tiling perimeter.

When the tiles are extracted, the crack is reproduced, like a tracing, in the bonding material and the fixing surface. In the case of a partition, it will appear with equal geometry on the other side, since the rupture is in the partition itself.

Other types of cracks appear when columns are tiled, with their particular geometry. In this case, the cracking may end in detachment. Here as well, the cracks reach the structural element.
